چکیده

Follicular peripheral T-cell lymphoma (F-PTCL) is a newly recognized provisional entity in the 2017 World Health Organization Classification revision of hematolymphoid neoplasms. It rare and under-recognized manifestation that associated with typically aggressive clinical course. Cases feature predominantly follicular or perifollicular growth pattern exhibit strong consistent expression T-follicular helper (TFH) markers. These cases distinctly lack histologic features commonly angioimmunoblastic lymphoma, such as an polymorphous infiltrate, proliferation high endothelial venules expanded dendritic meshworks. A relatively specific t(5;9)(q33;q22) rearrangement, leading to ITK-SYK fusion seen about 20% cases. Herein, we summarize key F-PTCL briefly review evolving relationship other nodal lymphomas/lymphoproliferative disorders TFH-derivation.

Expression of follicular helper T-cell markers in primary cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.

The follicular helper T cells (TFH) seemed to be expressed in several subsets of T-cell lymphomas. However, their expression in cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCLs) has been rarely described. We investigated the clinical features, histopathological morphology, and expression of TFH markers in CTCLs. Forty-nine patients (24 men and 25 women) diagnosed with CTCL were examined, 25 patients with myco...

The gene expression profile of nodal peripheral T-cell lymphoma demonstrates a molecular link between angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) and follicular helper T (TFH) cells.

The molecular alterations underlying the pathogenesis of angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) and peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified (PTCL-u) are largely unknown. In order to characterize the ontogeny and molecular differences between both entities, a series of AITLs (n = 18) and PTCLs-u (n = 16) was analyzed using gene expression profiling. Unsupervised clustering correlated with the...

Primary cutaneous follicular helper T-cell lymphoma treated with allogeneic bone marrow transplantation: immunohistochemical comparison with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

Primary cutaneous follicular helper T (TFH)-cell lymphoma has recently been proposed, and is characterized by proliferation of malignant T cells expressing TFH-cell markers, such as CXCL13, accompanied by numerous reactive B cells. We report here a patient whose skin histology showed massive infiltration of both T and B cells, with a proliferation of arborizing high endothelial venules and foll...

Expression of Master Regulators of T-cell, Helper T-cell and Follicular Helper T-cell Differentiation in Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma

Objective It has been postulated that the normal counterpart of angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) is the follicular helper T-cell (TFH). Recent immunological studies have identified several transcription factors responsible for T-cell differentiation. The master regulators associated with T-cell, helper T-cell (Th), and TFH differentiation are reportedly BCL11B, Th-POK, and BCL6, respec...

Human T-follicular helper and T-follicular regulatory cell maintenance is independent of germinal centers.

The monoclonal anti-CD20 antibody rituximab (RTX) depletes B cells in the treatment of lymphoma and autoimmune disease, and contributes to alloantibody reduction in transplantation across immunologic barriers. The effects of RTX on T cells are less well described. T-follicular helper (Tfh) cells provide growth and differentiation signals to germinal center (GC) B cells to support antibody produ...
